Principal's Welcome Message

Welcome back to another exciting school year at St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School! We would like to welcome those students, parents and staff who are joining us for the first time this year and a warm return to those who are continuing with us. We thank you for entrusting us with your children in our Christ-centered school environment where we strive to live out our Gospel Values daily.

I would to extend a thank you to our custodians who have done a great job of getting our school ready over the summer – your hard work and dedication to our community is greatly appreciated and also to our staff who have been working hard to get ready to welcome our students back. Thank you to those individuals who helped to beautify the front of school this August; our front gardens add a lot of beauty to our building.

I am very excited to be joining the St. Brigid Catholic school community this year. We have a fantastic staff at St. Brigid who work very hard to ensure the best possible education and extra-curricular experiences for your children. We expect that each child will do his/her best daily and will come to school ready to learn. We recognize that each child is an individual with his/her own strengths and needs and we will work with each student to ensure that he/she is reaching his/her full potential.
Beyond the classroom, we encourage students to become involved in our school community whether through sports or clubs. Our school community becomes stronger when we are all involved. Parents/guardians are encouraged to consider becoming a part of our Catholic School Council (CSC). More information will be made available regarding the CSC in September.

It is an honour to be at St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School and to be partnered with St. Patrick’s Parish. Our school community will continue to grow together in our love, understanding and service to the Church. As Pope Francis has stated, “You too, dear young people, can be joyful witnesses of his love, courageous witnesses of his Gospel, carrying to this world a ray of his light.” Our students, staff and parents are encouraged to find time to pray, reflect, and be of service in our community. We welcome parents and families to join us at our at school Masses at St. Patrick Parish.

The partnership between the school, home and church is vital to the success of each child. Your continued support of your child’s education is vital to his/her development. We truly appreciate parental support. If you have any questions or concerns, please ensure that you speak with the classroom teacher or myself. I am looking forward to meeting you at our Welcome Back to School BBQ on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

Again, welcome back for the 2017-2018 school year!
Mrs. A. Coletto, Principal
